Knitting KAL Projects

My first KAL with Knit Purl Hunter. Finished this in October. I learned so many new things. I like blues, purples and greens. I picked this color so I would make it and give it away. It has been 6 months and I think I may have found someone worthy of it. My Grandma's birthday is today. She taught me to knit about four years ago. I can't thank her enough for this.

KAL #2 two at a time toe up socks. I really enjoyed this and decided if I make single socks they become cell phone cozies. This is the way to go. I haven't yet tried cuff down socks. I may try that at some point in the near future.

KAL #3 mittens with a cable. I learned so much with these mittens. The biggest lesson learned was try them on before decreasing at the top. I had measured but did my math wrong. My thumb gusset ended up being in the wrong spot at well and was too short. Needless to say they don't fit me. They do however fit my daughters small hands but she is 13 and what her mom makes for her just isn't cool. So I they go in the pile of finished projects with no home.

KAL #4 two toned socks. I love these. However, I did one at a time so for now it is just a cell phone cozy until I can get the next one made. I was so fearful of multi color knitting but after this sock I am ready to tackle another project.

I want to give a big Thank you to Michelle the knit purl hunter for doing this KAL. I had a great time doing all four projects. Check out her website at  http://knitpurlhunter.com
